Procedure

I) Primary Years Program

A written assessment and personal interview will be conducted by the Coordinator. With a listing in the top 20 schools nursery admission in Gurgaon, we interview each child enrolling in the PYP (Pre-Nursery to 5th). Post this, the children along with their parents will be interviewed by the Principal in order to assess the prior knowledge of the child and his/her readiness to attend school.

Once the written assessment and interview process is complete, kindly send copies of the academic records of your child to our Admission Office. Parents are requested to submit copies of the academic records mentioned below:

The documents mentioned below must be submitted along with the Application Form:
A copy of the child’s Birth Certificate
Transfer certificate/Leaving certificate(original)
4 passport photos
Address proof (Aadhaar Card/Passport)
Vaccination Card
4 Passport size Photographs (each of student and Parents).
Education Certificate (Parents)
ID Proof (ID card/ Voter ID card)

II) Admission of a student for English as an Additional Language (ELA)

The main academic language of The Ompee Global School is English. In order to make sure that all our students benefit from the programme, provision is made for those students for whom English is not their first language.

The Ompee Global School welcomes students into good schools in Gurgaon who have no prior knowledge of the language-English in both the Primary Years Programme as well as the lower years of the Middle Years Programme.

For those children with ELA needs, the language English will be taught at a language acquisition level which is scheduled within the timetable.

III) Admission of students with Learning Support Needs

The Ompee Global School are known for its inclusive environment, where teachers work with every student, focusing on their strengths as well as weaknesses. This also includes working with those students who come with special learning needs. The students who have light learning needs can attend The Ompee Global School and obtain support from their class teacher. However, The Ompee Global School currently does not offer programs for students having intermediate to severe learning needs.

At The Ompee Global School, we have special educators who can offer support to individual students and also collaborate with class teachers to ensure the classroom has a smooth learning process. The school also collaborates with the student’s parents for specific information in order to understand the child’s needs better and to assist him/ her in class.

We encourage active participation from students across the curriculum day boarding schools in Gurgaon. Students who have been through either Counselling, Therapy, Support or have been identified with special educational requirements must include all the necessary diagnostic reports as well as assessment documentation for the purpose of confidential review.
